The boundary between comics and graphic novels can feel as ambiguous as a superhero's cape in comic book graphic novel meaning a rainstorm. Both utilize sequential art, weaving tales through panels and thought balloons. Yet, there are subtle differences that often define one from the other. Ultimately, length seems to be the most standout factor.
